commanderdameron's offerings:
commanderdameron Auction #1
Organizations this auction benefits: Civil Rights Education and
Enforcement Center *, In Our Own Voice *, Life After Hate, Middle East
Children's Alliance *, Spread the Vote (See full list.
* denotes an organization that accepts international donations.)
Type of fanwork: Written fanwork
Subtype(s): fan
fiction (new)
Fandom(s): Star Wars: Prequel Trilogy, Sequel
Trilogy, Obi-Wan Kenobi
Highest rating:
M
Length/scope: 10 - 20k words.
Minimum Bid: $5
Especially interested in: I love character and relationship
studies. I am definitely interested in exploring SW canon in more
plot-y ways, and I offered the 10k-20k range with that in mind, but I
get the most excited about plot and worldbuilding when I write from a
character-driven mindset.
As far as which characters and
relationships interest me the most:
Obi-Wan, Poe, Leia, and Rey are
my faves, so I'm most interested in writing stories that focus on any
of them and their relationships. I ship Obi-Wan/Padmé and also ship
any iteration of Jedistormpilot (Poe/Finn/Rey). I'm also open to
writing romantic fem or gender-neutral reader-insert fic for either
Obi-Wan or Poe (including identity-specific characteristics such as
disabilities if my bidder is so inclined). I also enjoy pretty much
any of the characters' platonic relationships that we see on screen,
including but not limited to Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan & Anakin,
Obi-Wan & Leia, Leia & Luke, Leia & Poe.
Unwilling to address: - Conflicts around jealousy.
- Omegaverse
- Pregnancy
- Porn without plot
- Fics focusing on the First Order characters, including Reylo.
- Master/padawan romantic relationships.
- TLJ bashing.
- Works that would necessitate any of AO3's warnings, with the possible exception of major character death (please reach out first regarding specific plot).
- AUs that put SW characters into our universe (but I AM open to writing AUs that put characters into drastically different places in the GFFA).
- Prequels-era fic that deconstructs the Jedi Order (but I will happily write Kenobi- or Sequels-era fics that wrestle with the Jedi from a place of memory).
Other notes: I request that my bidder give me a few prompts to
choose from or, if they only have one specific idea, that they reach
out prior to bidding to ensure that we're a good match
first.
My chapter structure varies from fic to fic, sometimes
drastically, depending on what the story necessitates. If my bidder
has a preferred word count cap for individual chapters, please let me
know so that I can keep this in mind from the beginning.
As far
as working with me beyond the initial prompt, that's very open to
bidder preference! I'd happily do further brainstorming as I'm coming
up with a plan for the fic. I almost exclusively write third person
POV that's heavily inflected by my read of their internal voice, so if
getting that to your liking is important, we can also get into the
weeds about characterization preferences.
Special interests: Poly ships, Reader Insert
Auctions run from 8:00AM EST, 5 March 2024, to 8:00PM EST, 9 March
2024. Bids before or after this period are invalid and will not be
counted. If you would like to bid on this auction:
Step 1: Check the bidding spreadsheet to find out what the current
high bid is. (Note: It may take up to five minutes for a bid to
appear.)
Step 2: Fill out the creator's bidding form with a bid that is higher than the
current high bid. If you want to make it harder for someone to outbid
you, bid higher! We will NOT notify you if someone outbids you.

we do not recommend relying on them near the end of the auction
period. Bookmark this sheet so you can check it manually. FTH will
only notify you if you are the high bidder after the auctions end.
commanderdameron Auction #2
Organizations this auction benefits: Civil Rights Education and

Children's Alliance *, Spread the Vote (See full list.

Type of fanwork: Written fanwork
Subtype(s): fan
fiction (new)
Fandom(s): Baldur's Gate 3,
Hannibal
Highest rating: M
Length/scope: Less than
5k words.
Minimum Bid: $5
Especially interested in: I love character and relationship
studies, and these two fandoms gave me some of my favorite dark,
traumatized characters to rotate around in my brain. For BG3, I have
not written any fic for Astarion but I would LOVE an excuse to write
something that really digs into his character—I'm open to including
Astarion/Tav, Astarion/Durge, or Astarion/Reader as part of the story
as a means of writing through what makes him tick.
As far as
Hannibal goes, I'd like to write something Hannigram-focused; you can
refer to both my Hannibal fics and my Hannibal bookmarks (also on my
AO3 profile) for a sense of my specific tastes there.
Unwilling to address: - Conflicts around jealousy.
- Omegaverse
- Pregnancy
- Fluff
- Body horror
- Vore/eating and food related kinks
- Porn without plot
- Ascended Astarion
- Works that would necessitate any of AO3's warnings, with the possible exception of major character death (please reach out first regarding specific plot).
Other notes: I request that my bidder give me a few prompts to
choose from or, if they only have one specific idea, that they reach
out prior to bidding to ensure that we're a good match
first.
I'm offering a relatively low word count on this auction
because these are fandoms where I suspect I might feel that less is
more, but I promise a minimum of 1k.

commanderdameron Auction #3

Type of fanwork: Fan labor
Subtype(s):
Betaing
Fandom(s): Any
Highest rating:
E
Length/scope: Depends how much the bidder contributes.. $5
minimum up to 20k words; $10 minimum for more than 20k
Minimum
Bid: $5
Fan labor details: N/A
Relevant background/experience: I have worked formally as a writing tutor and also regularly gave writing feedback to my peers and my advisor throughout my PhD, in addition to several years of experience beta reading for friends.
Notes about labor offered: I'm happy to provide a spelling/grammar check or beta for things like flow, pacing, and structure. I can also do a canon and/or characterization check for fandoms I've been active in within the last 5 years—see my Tumblr and my AO3 works/bookmarks for a pretty comprehensive list. I am open to doing a canon refresher on an older fandom on a case-by-case basis.
Especially interested in: I am genuinely quite open to betaing anything so long as it doesn't involve any of the things I include in the list below of subjects I am not willing to address! I think it would be a lot of fun to use this opportunity to work with an author on a lengthy, plot-y sort of story, but I also really enjoy working to tighten and refine shorter works.
Unwilling to address: Subjects I will not beta: Omegaverse, pregnancy, rape/noncon, graphic violence, underage sex involving characters under 16, domestic abuse, alcoholism/addiction plot lines
Fandoms I prefer not to beta: Harry Potter, K-Pop RPF, ASOIAF/GOT/HOTD
Romantic pairings I prefer not to beta: Reylo, Kylux, or any master/apprentice relationships (Star Wars), Riz/Fabian (D20), Wincest (SPN), Peter Parker/Tony Stark or Peter Parker/Quentin Beck (MCU), McShep or Jack O'Neill/Daniel Jackson (Stargate)
Other notes: I am American, so any spelling/grammar feedback will come from that POV. As a beta, you can expect me to be blunt but encouraging; I can be even more critical if you'd like some tough love, but if you're looking for more of a cheerleading beta, I'm probably not the right fit. I will be very specific in clarifying author expectations prior to betaing, and I will not provide feedback on any elements of your writing without being asked (unless it's somehow relevant to a note I have about another area of your writing that you have asked me to look at).
I'm willing to provide feedback at multiple points in the writing process based on what we establish in our initial conversations (for example, if you anticipate that you will need an earlier developmental edit plus characterization feedback later on), but please note that I will only offer one round of SPAG edits.
