Length/scope: Beta is max 10K words for any bid amount. Typsetting is 1K words for every 1$ bid. (So for instance, a 50K work would be a minimum of 50$.) Cap of 100K words (100$ minimum bid).

Fan labor details: I have experience with many different forms of beta'ing and consider myself a well-rounded beta. I am very good at proofreading as I am detail-oriented, and I am also good at sentence-crafting/line edits, pacing, consistency, and flow. If I am familiar with your fandom, I can also offer feedback on characterisation. My weakest area is cheerleading, although I can help you problem-solve to keep the writing going.
If you request typesetting, I will provide a pdf of a written work of your choice. I am able to format the pdf for printing and binding and/or display on a screen. At your request and for no additional bid amount, the pdf can include any of the following elements: An at-minimum basic front and back cover. Any additional information that comes with the main work, such as the author's notes, summary, and tags. A table of contents. Page numbers or other headers and footers. Interesting section dividers. I am also open to the inclusion of other elements if I have experience with them - just ask. All artistic elements will be made of free-to-use digital scrapbooking elements.
Relevant experience/background: I have taken a few creative writing classes where critique/feedback were taught. I also have 10+ years of experience beta'ing fanfiction and original fiction novels/longfic, short stories, and poetry. I have also done proofreading and been the writing mod for multiple zines in the fandom space.
As for typsetting, I typset the first volume of the No. 6 Zine in 2018, and I have typeset other zines and fanfictions as a hobby since then. I also do a bit of layout design in the form of quote cards and collage art, which is what I would be relying on to design the front and back covers.
Other notes about labor offered: Don't hesitate to reach out to me if
you have any questions about my offering, if your work would be a good
fit for me, or how the beta process might work depending on your
specific needs. If you've never worked with a beta before, I'm more
than happy to help you get acquainted with the beta'ing process.
Especially interested in: I prefer fluff, romance,
hurt/comfort, fantasy, sci fi, and AUs.
Unwilling to address: Although I am willing to beta explicit
works, there are some kinks and some forms of graphic violence which I
can't work with. Torture especially is a big NO. Most hardcore kinks
are also a NO, including BDSM, although bondage in and of itself
might be okay (i.e. if your otherwise vanilla sex scene has a
blindfold in it, it won't be a problem). Omegaverse without a dom/sub dynamic in the main pairing's personal or sexual lives is fine. Of course, no paedophilia, incest, or noncon. I don't really like unrelenting angst, violence, or whump, so
wouldn't be able to bring my full passion to a work which doesn't have
at least a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Please do not
ask me to beta any of these things. If you want me to typset a fic which contains or focusses on those things, let's discuss it in advance before bidding.
Selling printed or digital copies of my typeset is strictly forbidden, even if you are the author of the original work. You may bring the typeset to a bookbinder to acquire one or two personal copies, however. I also will not create a typeset for printing of a fic by an author who has explicitly stated they do not want fan binds of their work.
