I am a deep content editor, great for polishing up your fic at its rough draft stage or beyond. I focus on word flow, scene flow, missing scenes, narrative promise, repeat words, continuity, and helping your fic be the shiniest diamond possible. References and testimony available upon request.

Relevant background/experience: Content editing for self-published and traditionally published authors (20+ years); freelance sensitivity reading for editors at traditional publishing houses (10 years); beta editing in fandom; lead editing mod or editing mod for a variety fan zines (including Good Omens "Ineffable Eras" and "Our Side Zine", and Loki/Mobius "Mischievous Scamp".)

Notes about labor offered: I'm not a cheerleader beta: I'm an editor. I'm here to help your fiction be as polished as you can get it! I can go gentle or we can enter what my zine writers know I affectionately nicknamed The Thunderdome.

Especially interested in: While I am totally cool with editing for the big ships for GO and OFMD, if you have a harder time finding an editor because you focus on side characters and/or rare pairs, COME TO ME! I'm excited to hear about it!

In Good Omens, I love a Crowley POV. I'm an Izzy Hands supporter for Our Flag. And with Venture Bros, anything goes!

I love deep character explorations, angst, dramatics. I am open to the major AO3 warnings so long as I get a heads up on it. I am also okay with all hurt, no comfort.

Other notes: I'd love to get in on your story when you're at a place you can still add moments or missing scenes. I want to know your intent with the story, what you want the audience to get from it, the themes, etc. Indulge in explaining to me! I'll keep those bits in mind as I go, especially focusing on fulfilling narrative promises.

You'll provide me a clean COPY (not your original) in Google Docs. I'll leave comments and suggestions. I may highlight when I notice a "repeating word" several times in a page or chapter for your awareness of it. Remember: all of my suggestions are JUST THAT. You have final say! I also leave comments as I go about what I enjoy.

I will read the full piece once through first, to get a sense of it and your writing style. If the piece is multiple chapters, I will break up the editing work in manageable chunks for both of us. If there's anything I CAN do for editing but you PREFER I DON'T, we'll discuss that!

My fave chars: Hank, Sheila, Monarch, 21. Especially interested in anything set during s6 & s7 (New York City seasons). Ready and willing to explore side and minor characters. This world is VAST. I'd also love to explore the original Team Venture era. Dr Z and the Blue Morpho. I've been wondering about Triple Threat's story (Rose Whalen) for AGES. Antagonists are also a yes from me. Good Omens - Will you be the reason I write another story in the "Small Demons" across the ages series, with small-size Crowley and regular-sized Aziraphale (micro/macro)? A Crowley & Furfur noir human AU? Crowley/young Shadwell in 1960s-70s? Crowley/Lucifer?

If choosing a historical fic, I will want to know what you like best about that era (For GO, I'm especially good for: 1960s, 1940s, 1920s, French Revolution, Rome. For VB, I'm especially good for: s6 & s7 modern New York, and original Team Venture through Movie Night and Pyramid Wars eras '60s - '80s).

I'll show you updates until completion on a schedule we set together, if you like. I can share the final fic to you exclusively for a time, or post it as a gift as a surprise!
