Fan labor details: For Beta reading I am willing to work with all parts of the writing process from initial brainstorming to final spelling and grammar check. This includes spelling and grammar, pacing, characterization, plot development, overall structure among other things. If multiple rounds of beta reading are required we can focus on different aspects at different times. For sensitivity reading I can offer readings for queer identities particularly Asexual, Aromantic, and nonbinary genders identities though I can provide feedback on other queer identities as well.

Relevant experience/background: I have been a beta reader in fandom for three years offering feedback for a wide variety of stories from flash fiction to novel length stories both fanfiction and original works. I also have been a professional freelance editor for two years mainly working on original short stories.
For sensitivity reading, which I've offered alongside beta reading, I have two years of professional sensitivity training workshop experience (presenting for university students and faculty to help them recognize bigotry and how best to help their queer students/peers)
For typesetting, I have been bookbinding for a year and half and have typset over a dozen works (folio, quarto, and octavo) both for myself and as part of exchanges.

Other notes about labor offered: Beta reading: The exact turn around time for the work will depend on the length, but generally I can complete one chapter or a oneshot (<10k words) within one week. Longer works may take additional time. I am comfortable with dark subject matter and basically any character or ship, but I won't do explicit scenes/smut. I am offering for any fandom, but my familiarity with a specific fandom may determine the amount of feedback I can offer on characterization, consistency with canon etc.
Typesetting: I can work with any fic of any length as either a folio, quarto, or octavo typeset however fics of greater than 150k words will have to be split into multiple volumes. I would ask that you secure permission from the original author for the typeset before directing me to the fic (or point me to their blanket permission statement if they have one) If you have specific ideas for the typeset let me know upfront. I would prefer not to work with explicit works/smut but am more lenient for it than for beta reading.
